The Gospel Proclaimed to the Little Ones

Catechism

Educating the younger generations in the faith, supporting children and families in their experience of Christian life.

Educating in the Faith

A central task of the Christian community

Among the most important tasks of the Christian community is the education of the younger generations in the faith. We therefore devote time, energy and special attention to communicating the Gospel to the little ones, so that they may gradually be introduced to the experience of the Christian faith.

There are two guiding principles that inspire the catechetical ministry of the Sant’Agabio community: the centrality of the child and the centrality of the family, because parents are the children’s first educators in the faith.

A child-centred approach to catechesis

Joy, serenity and participation

Precisely because we wish to place the child at the centre of our educational approach, we endeavour to conduct our sessions in an atmosphere of joy and serenity, at times that are as suitable as possible and in welcoming surroundings, using tools and techniques that make the catechism sessions more engaging and enjoyable.
