Via Giannoni
The Oratory
A green gate stands open on Via Giannoni: an open door, a bridge between the street and the church, a meeting place for children, young people and adults.
An open door
An open green gate on Via Giannoni...
The Oratory of the parish of sant'Agabio has always been an open door, a space that welcomes many children and young people from the neighbourhood, from different cultures and religions.
An artificial football pitch, a small basketball or volleyball court and a hall with table football and table tennis, but above all, faces to meet and stories that intertwine whilst sharing a game or a chat.
The youth club is a little home, where one learns to live with care and mutual respect.
The Oratory is dedicated to Sister Graziella Avetta and Father Artibano Di Coscio, who devoted much of their lives to the young people and the poor in this neighbourhood.
Growing together
A bridge between the street and the church
The Oratory acts as a bridge between the street and the church, a place where children, young people and adults can find a warm welcome, a place where they can come together.
Life at the Oratory aims to support young people’s development by helping them build relationships with one another, as they journey together towards adulthood.
During the summer, the GREST camp is organised, where, once school is out, young people can enjoy a time of leisure and play, followed by school camps at Antillone.
