Music and Liturgy
Since 2002, the choir has provided musical accompaniment for the key moments of the liturgical year, placing music at the service of prayer and the community.
History
The “Jubilate Deo” parish choir was founded in 2002 following the disbandment of the previous choir, led by Father Rocco Ferri, which for several years had provided musical accompaniment for church services and organised concerts to mark the parish feast day.
The new choir was established with the aim of contributing to the musical accompaniment of the main celebrations of the liturgical year, particularly during Advent, at Christmas, during Lent and on the Solemnity of Easter.
In the past, efforts were also made to provide musical accompaniment for services once a month. The choir has always been conducted by Maestro Armando Travaini.

Our service
The choir’s role is not to perform a concert at every service, but to make the liturgy more engaging, enlivening it through song and helping the congregation to take part in the prayer.
Singing accompanies the most important moments of the liturgical year and supports the congregation’s participation.
The choir is a parish group open to anyone who wishes to offer their voice and their time in the service of the Lord.
An invitation to the community
As with many parish groups, the Covid period has created some difficulties for the choir, compounded by the fact that many of its members are getting on in years.
Today, the Choir is facing a challenging time due to the limited number of participants. That is why we are asking for the help of our parish community: no special skills are required, just a desire to serve the Lord through song.
Choir rehearsals
Rehearsals take place in the parish church. For further information, please contact the parish office, leaving your name and a telephone number.
